Ishigake Kosuke is Jumbo's owner and Ryo's friend. He is a comical and a little oloinen silly boy. He seems to understand his dog "speech".

Kosuke is a native of Tokyo, but at the beginning of the summer holidays, he began to travel to the north to make an even stronger Jumbo.

He left with his dog take a look at a dog fighting match and met on the way Ryo's friends, who gave him chocolate.
