Fuji is Daisuke's family's dog and the mother of Gin and his siblings. She is a former bear hound and one of the mates of Riki.
Appearance
Fuji is a red-brown bi-coloured Akita Inu with typical urajiro markings. She wears a rather thick collar with a buckle and small round buttons on it. In the anime, she's brown and white, with white markings on her face, chest belly and tail, completed with white socks instead of her original markings. She wears a brown collar with a golden buckle and details.
Personality
She acts very caring and loving towards Gin and his two brothers. She loves her puppies a lot, but respects their decisions and understands them, which is seen when Gin leaves.

Fuji was a bear hound but later retired as she got pregnant.
When Gohē got lost, Fuji went with Daisuke's father to help look for him. Later, she lets Gin leave when he tells her about the wild pack of dogs fighting Akakabuto.
Although she is not seen later, she possibly died of old age.
Trivia
- Fuji is not mentioned in either Ginga Densetsu Riki or Ginga Densetsu Weed. According to Yoshihiro Takahashi, she may have been given to a relative.
