Kōta is a minor character of Ginga Densetsu Weed, Ginga Densetsu Weed: Orion, Ginga: The Last Wars.
He is the son of Hiro and Reika, and the brother of Kinta, Tamasaburō and Jirōmaru.

Kōta and his siblings were born in spring in Futago Pass, shortly after the death of Shōgun. As a puppy, Kōta is just as mischievous as his siblings and is prone to biting. He remains in the care of his mother for most of his appearance.

Beginning[]
After a volcano erupts in Ou, forcing the dogs to flee, Kōta and his family are locked in a mine by Jinemon Kurohabaki until being later released by Daisuke.
Ginga: The Last Wars[]
A few months have passed since the defeat of Masamune Kurohabaki and Kōta is grown up, but still lacking in fighting experience. When Monsoon attacks Ou, Kōta encourages his father to fight but is escorted away with Reika and his siblings under Gin's orders.
Reika tells the children with her to rest for the night, when she notices a dog coming up the hill towards them. She recognizes him as Nyūdōunsai Sanada and tells him what has happened in Ou.

- He was called as Shou by fans.
- As a puppy, he had fluffier floppy ears like his father, but when he became older his ears changed to be smoother and more folded looking like the ears of the character Jirō.
